It's That Time Of Year....No Not Christmas but Pretty Darn Close

It's been so busy around here the past week. Friday, I took all the kids back to school shopping. The kids have uniforms they have to wear so it makes it easy when buying clothes since there is only a limited variety to choose from. Still took us five hours. We hit Kohl's, Old Navy, Target and finally Office Max for supplies. I think it's pretty crappy that Office Max charges double what Target or Wal-mart does for school supplies. We had a gift card for Office Max so that is why we went there. When all was said and done the total for the day was about $700 and that was only for three of the four kids! That should be an advertisement for preventing pregnancy.
My Aunt and Cousin are both in town as well. They live in Texas and arrived Friday night. Cailtyn, Colton and I went down to their hotel and visited for a couple hours. I love when my cousin is here. It's like we just pick up from the last visit as if there was no time in between. She is only here until Wednesday so I'm hoping to spend as much time with her as possible. We are going down to Greenlawn Cemetery tomorrow. Greenlawn is famous for being haunted and it was also the place where our grandparents were married. I know weird right?! I just found that out from my cousin. My Grandma was even picked up in a hearse for her wedding! I guess my Great- Aunt and Great- Uncle were caretakers of the cemetery and lived in a house on the property. My Aunt said she would spend summers there and at night she would look out the window and see all the gravestones. Creepy! The house has since been torn down. Funny the things you learn about your family that you had no idea about. Who knows maybe we will see a ghost if we're lucky!

Isn't it a great feeling to expect someone you really love?

That is the coolest story about your grandparents. I've never heard anything even remotely similar.

I had no idea Office Max didn't have good back to school sales. Staples does. But, all of the stores have them so early that if you miss them, you're in trouble. That's usually what happens to me.

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your cousin!

For some reason, I like cemeteries. There's something rather peaceful about them. My favorite so far is the one I visited in Paris --the Pere-Lachaise Cemetery, where Jim Morrison and other famous people are buried (Balzac, Chopin, Victor Hugo, Sarah Bernhardt, Edith Piaf, Proust, etc.)

Have a great visit with your cousin and aunt. :)

How nice to see your cousin! DH has cousins that live far away and we get so excited to see them when they're headed to town. So fun to anticipate!
I love that your grandma was picked up in a hearse...that's is great! You should have the TAPS team there to ghost hunt with you...

Uniforms would make things so much easier. Today is the first day for my high schoolers - they were both excited :) We will get school supplies tomorrow night (all the teachers want different things and folders set up in different ways and since they only have 3 academic classes a day-block scheduling we have to wait until the end of day two to get the supplies).
