Yay!! Mom is coming for a visit today. Or "Oba" as the kids call her. It's japanese for grandmother or so I thought until I looked it up and found out it means Aunt. I'm on to her sneaky ways. That's ok though. I love when she comes because she spoils us all with her cooking and we always have such a great time.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a nice day because I want to go apple picking. We were supposed to go about two weeks ago but it's been so rainy and yucky.
She also told me that she will be moving back to Ohio from Chicago next year which makes me even more happy. I can't wait until she lives close by again. Her and her husband are separating and he is moving back to Japan. Business has not been too good for him lately and I think the stress has finally gotten to him. She seems to be ok with it though. He was always traveling so she was used to being alone for the most part but they were together for 20 years. She said she wants to be near me and Jaime anyway. Mom is such a strong person. I know she will be alright.

Sorry what you're MOm's going through. She's lucky she has you, your dh and most of all - the grandkids!
It will be nice to have your mom nearby. My mom and mother-inlaw head to florida in the colder months. Once the weather warms up, they move up North. They love seeing their grandchildren.
I hope the visit went really well. How exciting she will be moving closer, though sad it is for that reason.
